CCS Wins 2-1 Over Baylor; East Ridge, Grace Post Shutouts

Chattanooga Christian School freshman Addie Henry scored the lone goal Tuesday night in a 1-0 win at Baylor.  

 Henry's goal in the  31st minute was assisted by Kyra Duble.

Baylor's Peyton Randolph had four saves for the Red Raiders who fall to 3-3 overall.  

CCS's Marissa Lewis and Lucy Sandhoff combined for the shutout.   Lewis had two saves and Sandhoff had five.  

"You have to give CCS credit they work extremely hard,"  Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.  "They compete for the full 80 minutes. We got ourselves into a hole and couldn't get out of. We created some great chances but it's not what you create but what you can finish."

CCS improves to 3-0 on the season.  

Grace's Kayla Bibbs scored two goals in the Golden Eagles 6-0 win over CSAS.  Danielle Shumaker, Ebony Ransby, Katie Houck and Jessie Vincent also had goals for Grace. 
Maddie Ferrell had three assists.  Paige Leamon and Kaitlyn Wade also had an assist. 

 Amanda Houck had two saves for Grace. 

Grace led 4-0 at the half. 

East Ridge scored six goals in the first half and went on to beat Red Bank 8-0.  Kayla Deck had five of the eight goals.  Serena Smith had two and Ana Stanford had one.  Abby Sweatman had four assists and Deck had one.  East Ridge improved to 2-0-1 overall and 2-0 in the district.
