Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson announced Friday that two Walker County 16-year-olds have been arrested and detained for the Pure Convenience Store armed robbery in Summerville, Ga., last Saturday around 10 p.m. and the Kangaroo Convenience Store armed robbery in Flintstone four hours later on Sunday morning.
The juveniles were taken into custody on Thursday afternoon and have been detained at the Rome, Ga., Youth Detention Center.
In both armed robberies, two suspects entered the convenience stores, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the clerks and demanded money.
Both suspects were covered from head to feet. The larger of the two suspects had a unique stance and gait, police said.
No vehicle was seen or heard in either robbery. The amount of money taken from the stores was not disclosed.
