Dalton Cross Country Teams Will Compete In UNG Invitational

Both Dalton State cross country teams are set to compete this Saturday in the third annual University of North Georgia Cross Country Invitational. Twenty-two women’s teams and 17 men’s teams are scheduled for the event at the UNG Gainesville campus, 3820 Mundy Mill Road, in Oakwood.

The meet will feature a large number of elite NAIA teams combined with a pre-championship race for the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference race on Oct. 24. The 6K women’s race will begin Saturday at 8:15 a.m.

The 8k men’s event will start at 9 a.m.

Scheduled women’s teams are Dalton State. Agnes Scott, Berry, Brenau, Clark Atlanta, Columbus State, Covenant, Francis Marion, Georgia Regents University Augusta, LaGrange, Life, North Georgia, Oglethorpe, Oxford, Point, Reinhardt, USC Aiken, SCAD Atlanta, UNC Penbrooke, West Georgia and Young Harris.

Participating men’s teams are Dalton State, Berry, Clark Atlanta, Clayton State, Columbus State, Covenant, Francis Marion, Gordon State, GRU Augusta, LaGrange, Point, Reinhardt, SCAD Atlanta, Shorter, UNC Pembroke, West Georgia and Young Harris.
