Chattanooga Unite Logistics

  • Tuesday, September 15, 2015

The Chattanooga Police Department and the city of Chattanooga would like to inform the public of the Chattanooga Unite logistics plan.  This plan is in place to create minimal disruption to downtown work day and event traffic by providing an abundance of free parking and a large amount of parade viewing opportunities for all.

For those attending the event Wednesday, here are a few things to know.

Security: Gate security will be in place leading into the event and will be very similar to Riverbend style entry.  Foot traffic is expected to flow quickly leading into the event, gates will open at noon. More Info here: http://www.chattanoogaunite.org/event-info/

Parade: The Memorial Parade will begin at 2 p.m.  Staging for the parade will begin at noon and be on Broad Street between 13th and MLK.  The parade will travel down Broad Street, turning left on Aquarium Way and ending at the Riverfront at approximately 3 p.m.  Northbound Broad Street will be closed to traffic as well as the left Southbound lane on Broad Street.  Please follow posted detours and be cautious of parade viewers.

Concert: The Chattanooga Unite Benefit concert will begin at approximately 3 p.m. at the conclusion of the parade.  The ramp from the Veterans Bridge to Riverfront Parkway will be closed starting Tuesday, at 9 a.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Thursday.  Between noon and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Riverfront Parkway will be closed just between Chestnut and Power Alley to allow for set up.  Riverfront Parkway will be closed from Molly Lane to Aquarium Way from 9 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday for the concert.
