Travis Close
Travis Close, Master GRI, ABR, SRES, ePRO, GREEN, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Realty Center in Signal Mountain, today was elected 2016 Division 3 vice president for the Tennessee Association of Realtors at the statewide association’s annual fall convention in Memphis.
Mr. Close has held numerous leadership positions in the industry, including 2015 President of the Greater Chattanooga Association of REALTORS® (GCAR), GCAR Director (2011-14), a member of multiple committees (Governmental Affairs, Budget & Finance, Grievance, Education), and a member of the Syndication and Social Media task forces.
On the state level, Mr.
Close has served as a TAR director (2012-present), vice chair of the Forms Committee (2015), and Convention Committee member (2011-12). He will serve as chair of the Forms Committee in 2016 and in the 2016 class of NAR Leadership.
A native Chattanoogan, Mr. Close is deeply involved in the community, having served as President of the UT-Chattanooga Early Childhood Board (2014, 2015), Signal Crest United Methodist Board Chair (2013), and Notre Dame High School Board President (2013), and as a volunteer with his son’s Boy Scouts of America troop. He and his wife, Tina, are the parents of two children.
“I decided early in my career that I wanted to be involved in leadership at the local and state level,” Mr. Close said. “I have enjoyed volunteering in many capacities within our local association, and I look forward to serving our membership on the state level as well.”
