Eddie Lee Sanders, 91, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, August 28, 2015 at his residence.  

He retired from REA Express.  He was a member of Mt. Joy Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, was on the Usher Board, and in the Male Chorus. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Sanders; parents, Ellis and Sue Della Sanders, Sr.; sister, Lily Mae Walton; brothers, Henry Sanders, Sammy Sanders, and Ellis Sanders, Jr. 

Survivors include his sons, Charles (Kathy) Sanders, Scott (Marybeth) Sanders, and Stephen (Tammy) Sanders, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Juanita Montgomery of Chattanooga, Margaret Sanders of Akron, OH, and Claudia Coleman of Chattanooga; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie Sanders of Madison, AL, Allen Sanders of Huntsville, AL, James Sanders of Decatur, AL, and Willie (Betty) Sanders of Huntsville, AL; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

He will lie in state on Friday, Sept. 4, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor W.A. Stephens as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
