The Chattanooga Lookouts (1-2) collected eight hits, but could not muster any runs in the 2-0 loss to the Biloxi Shuckers (2-1) Saturday night. Biloxi now has a 2-1 series lead heading into game four.
Yadiel Rivera set the tone early for Biloxi, leading off the game with a single to center. The next batter Nick Shaw double to put runners on second and third with no outs. Lookouts starter Greg Peavey allowed a run on a sacrifice fly to Michael Reed, but escaped the inning with no further damage.
Lookouts Greg Peavey had a quality start.
After allowing the early run Peavey settled into a rhythm and did not allow another run until the fifth when Biloxi added a run on a force out. With the bases loaded again and two outs DJ Johnson got Brett Phillips to strike out to get out of the inning.
The Lookouts had their chances to score later in the game, but Tyler Wagner had their number all night long. The righty finished the night only allowing six hits in 6.2 innings while fanning eight. In the seventh the Lookouts had the bases loaded against Yonathan Barrios, but Jorge Polanco popped out to end the inning. Barrios stayed in the game and delivered two scoreless frames to earn his second save of the postseason.
