Man Shot On 3rd Avenue Monday Evening

The Chattanooga Police Department responded to the 2800 block of Third Avenue on reports of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound Monday evening. 

Once on scene, officers located Johnathon Joseph Black, 19, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the ankle. 

The victim’s injury is non-life threatening and he is expected to recover.

Investigators are continuing to compile information to determine the facts surrounding the incident.

No confirmed suspect information is available at this time.
