Everybody played for the Dalton State volleyball team Saturday afternoon as the Roadrunners knocked-off Southern States Athletic Conference foe Brewton-Parker in straight sets at Bandy Gymnasium.
Each set was never in doubt as the hosts won 25-13, 25-13 and 25-17. Kianna Delaney led the Roadrunners with seven kills and one blocked shot. Wendy Perez had six kills and Anna Metzler had five. Savannah Nelson and Grace Hardin each had four kills.
Rafaella Martin Petrunko had 12 assists. Clarissa Weber tallied nine assists and four digs.
“I’m so excited to have everybody play well today,” said Coach Bruna Langer. “Everybody had the chance to get on the court and they all got the job done. I am proud of my volleyball team.”
Dalton State upped their record to 5-7 overall and 1-4 SSAC. The Roadrunners travel to Gainesville on Tuesday to play at Brenau University at 7:00 p.m. The next home game is Friday, October 2nd when Bethel (TN) visits Bandy Gym at 7:00 p.m.
