Cornelia Davis
Cornelia Garth Davis, 78, died on August 20, 2015 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She was a graduate of Howard High class of 1955. She retired from Bellsouth where she worked for over 30 years and Memorial Hospital, where she worked many years. Cornelia was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church since childhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Tennie Prince Garth; siblings, Nancy Garth Linder and Glendel T. Garth.
Survivors include her niece, Muriel Garth Taylor; nephews, Major Carlos G. Garth, Sr. and Robert Linder; long-time friends, Rosa McClure, Jewell B. Cousin and Juanita Holloway.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
