The Tennessee Preservation Trust (TPT) has extended its nomination deadline for it's annual list of most threatened historic places in Tennessee. Thanks to the initial response, applications will now be accepted until September 15th.
The nonprofit group, which advocates for historic preservation statewide, highlights ten historic properties each year considered most endangered.
Previously listed properties have benefited from continued TPT support, some of which have also received state grants for restoration.
Among those listed properties saved in the past few years include Cordell Hull in Nashville and the Historic Highlander Folk School in Monteagle.
The trust is looking for architecturally and/or historically significant buildings, neighborhoods, and landscapes that are in need of immediate action to stop or reverse serious threats.
