Joe Richard Chambers, 82, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Monday, September 28, 2015.

A lifelong resident of Georgia, he was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Lockheed Aeronautical Systems where he worked for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.B and Irene Chambers and two brothers, Fred and Donald Chambers.

Joe is survived by four children, Rick (Kathy) Chambers of Soddy Daisy, Rhonda (Michael) Cawood of Ringgold, Debby (Tommy) Broom of Chattanooga, and Darrell (Christine) Chambers of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.; sister, Joyce Chambers of Rossville; three brothers, Charles Chambers of Madison, Indiana, Marion Chambers of Kennesaw, and Alan Chambers of Kennesaw; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Broom and Tommy Broom officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5-9 p.m. and Friday until funeral time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
