First Security Group, Inc., the holding company for FSG Bank, announced the bank has ended its “Pay It Forward” campaign and will officially make a $2,500 donation to the Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland after receiving an incredible response from the community to its unique GO Money campaign.

FSG Bank launched the GO Money campaign last month as part of its grand opening festivities to celebrate the opening of its new innovative, state-of-the-art Keith Street branch. For the campaign, FSG Bank randomly distributed 1,000 uniquely branded dollar bills to businesses throughout the Cleveland community, and for every one that was returned to the Keith Street branch, FSG would donate $5 to Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland. Cleveland businesses that participated included, but were not limited to:

·         Walter’s Auto Wash & Express Lube

·         White Wing Book Store

·         Firehouse Subs (Village Green Location)

·         Jackie Evans Trucking, Inc.

·         Buy Here/Pay Here USA of TN, LLC

·         Premier Tire & Auto Service

·         Suresh Patel d/b/a Family Pit Stop

·         Beaty Fertilizer & Chemical Corporation

“As a community bank, we are committed to making a positive contribution to the individuals, families, businesses in the communities we serve,” said Barbara Baxter, Cleveland Market Executive at FSG Bank.  “We are honored to make this donation to Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland as it will help this important organization make a meaningful difference in meeting the affordable housing needs of people throughout Bradley County.”

Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build and repair homes, communities and hope.  With many families in Bradley County needing decent and affordable housing, Habitat for Humanity provides a long-term impact that changes the lives of families by partnering with them to build better lives and stronger communities. “We are extremely grateful to FSG Bank for this donation and their continued support of Habitat for Humanity.  Because of this generosity, another family in our community will be one step closer to having a safe, affordable place to call home,” said Jeff Morelock, board president of Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland.

Ms. Baxter said, “FSG Bank is proud to be a part of the Cleveland community, and we want to thank everyone for their unbelievable support of this campaign and the opening of our new Keith Street branch in Cleveland.”
