Man Being Held On Federal Drug Charges Is Mistakenly Released By CCA; Murphy Is Recaptured

A man being held on federal drug charges was released in error from the Community Corrections of America Silverdale detention facility on Sunday morning.

Brenen Andrew Murphy was captured early Monday evening.

With the help of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Chattanooga Police Department he was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities had said they believed he was still in the Chattanooga area.
