Edsel Bradford
A 90-year-old man was arrested on Monday at the Brainerd Walmart after police said he attempted to bribe a pharmacist for hydrocodone and began to harass people in the store when he was refused.
Police said they found Edsel Bradford at the Walmart on Greenway View Drive yelling, screaming, and cursing at employees and customers.
When they tried to ask him what happened, he was aggressive with them as well, and tried to push past police.
He struggled when taken into custody.
Several staff members at the Walmart said that Bradford came in and offered the pharmacist $100 to sell him 10 hydrocodone pills without a prescription. The pharmacist refused and then the defendant allegedly threatened to get a gun and start shooting people so he could get the pills.
Shortly after, he attempted to buy the pills from other customers, but was refused again.
He then went to the store deli and got into an argument with a worker there, throwing items around the shop.
