Frances Evelyn Martin Pesnell, 96, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
The daughter of the late Willis Asbury and Artie Mae Hudson Martin, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Pesnell, and sisters, Opal Sanders and Jewell Calvert.
She and her late husband, George Pesnell, owned and operated Economy Cleaners for over 20 years. She was a member of South Pittsburg First Baptist Church and the Fidelis-Dorcas Sunday school class, and was a former Worthy Matron of the O.E.S.
Mrs. Pesnell is survived by her children, Dean (Eva) Pesnell and Rex (Jayne) Pesnell of Kimball, TN, Katrinka (Fred) Sharpe, Gayle Allen (Robert) Grier, and Christa Pesnell all of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren, Craig (Lisa) Pesnell, Kim Pesnell (Phil) Ball, Karen Pesnell Brackett, Robert (Leslie) Sharpe, Curtis Sharpe, David (Rebekah) Sharpe, Amanda Allen, Benjamin (Brandy) Allen, Brandis Grier, Randall (Samantha) Pesnell and Shea Phillips; sister, Ibbie Bennett of South Pittsburg, TN; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. central time on Friday, Jan. 15, at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, with Reverend Ronnie Case and Reverend Brad Bridgman officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
