After an investigation that Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson described as one of “total cooperation between Patrol and Criminal Investigations Divisions,” the robbery of a Bradley County business was solved in less than 24 hours by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, and two people were arrested.

Acting on information received in the early morning hours of Monday, Sheriff Watson, along with members of CID and Patrol Division, took two people into custody for the holdup of the One Stop Mini Mart at 3096 South Lee Highway on Sunday afternoon.

During the robbery, a white male was shown on video tape entering the business, brandishing a handgun, demanding money from a clerk.

Valuable assistance was provided by members of the public. According to Sheriff Watson, "Once again, we were able to put people behind bars for a criminal act due to the valuable help of the public. Also, our CID and Patrol Divisions started the investigation into this case just moments after it happened and it continues as we speak.”

Charged with aggravated robbery were Erika Lyda, 26, and John Gentry, 31, both of Cleveland.

Ms. Lyda and Gentry are brother and sister. They are being booked into the Bradley County Jail.
