The Chattanooga Department of Transportation announces lane closures on E. Martin Luther King Boulevard at King Street and University Street due to construction at the intersections of King Street and University Street beginning Thursday for approximately seven weeks.
One lane of travel in each direction will be maintained throughout construction. Watch for flaggers and use caution when travelling through the construction zone. King Street and University Street at E. Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed.
Detours will be marked, which will direct traffic to Houston Street and Douglas Street.
