Sara Elizabeth Walker, 77of Menlo, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1938 to the late Isaiah Walker, Sr. and Elizabeth Almons Walker; and was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Rosa Lee Mack and Alice Hudgins; and two brothers, Isaiah Walker, Jr. and Robert Walker, Jr.

She was retired from Best Manufacturing Company.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Walker of Menlo, Georgia and Patricia Walker Groce; three sons, John Walker, Scott Walker and Lavette (Lisa) Walker, all of Summerville, Georgia; two sisters, Louise Hammonds of Chicago and Betty Whatley of Miami, FL; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; dear friend, Irene Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. at the New Spirit and Truth Assembly of Jesus, 487 Scoggins Street, with Bishop V. T. Harden and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Flower bearers are Jackie Hammonds, Irene Parker, Mildred Curoso, Jackie Parker and Jan Dandridge; Casket bearers are Anthony Hudgins, Adrian Hudgins, Dennis Burrows, John Fain, Bobby Parker and Carl Lee Hammonds.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton.
