Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites the public to participate in a free, 90-minute ranger-guided car caravan tour on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. in association with the 153rd Anniversary of the Battle of Wauhatchie.  This tour will begin at the Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center parking lot at 400 Garden Road in Chattanooga.

"The Battle of Wauhatchie, fought during the night of Oct. 28-29, 1863, was a Confederate attempt to regain control of Brown’s Ferry and Lookout Valley from Union troops who successfully took Brown’s Ferry during the early morning hours of Oct.

Visitors should wear comfortable and supportive footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and bring water.
