Lauren Guza Dies In Single-Vehicle Wreck On Lee Highway Early Saturday Morning

The driver of a vehicle that went out of control on Lee Highway early Saturday morning was killed. The victim was Lauren Guza, 30.

In the incident at 2:15 a.m., officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a traffic crash in the 6300 block of Lee Highway.

The crash was near Customer Delight Drive.

The victim was driving in the turning lane while on the overpass.  The vehicle continued straight and did not make the turn.

The vehicle continued into the grassy median then back onto the asphalt where it struck a traffic control box and flipped.

The driver was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with serious injuries. He later succumbed to the injuries.
