Dalton State Leads Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate

The Dalton State Men's golf team sits in first place after the first round of the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, TN.

A 1-under-par total of 287, puts Dalton State ahead of 2nd place SCAD-Atlanta (+4) by 5 strokes heading into the final round tomorrow.  #23 Lindsey Wilson is in third at +7, followed by Reinhardt (+8) in fourth.  #16 University of the Cumberlands (+11) rounds out the top 5.  Point (GA), the 15th-ranked team in the country is 6th at +13.

Adam Morris is the story of the day for Dalton State.
 The Sophomore from Acworth, GA fired an opening round, 3-under-par 69 on the Signature Course at Tennessee National to tie for the individual lead.  Junior Dalton Johnson wasn't far behind Morris.  Johnson would shoot 2-under on his round to tie for fourth.

Freshmen S.M. Lee and Ben Rebne finished out counting scores for the Roadrunners, with each shooting 74 to tie for 12th.  Junior Chase Cole had an impressive round of 73, playing as an individual.

The Roadrunners will hit the links tomorrow, October 18 for the final round of the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate.  Dalton State will tee off at 10:40 a.m. and will be paired with SCAD-Atlanta and Lindsey Wilson.
