Former District 3 County Commissioner Marty Haynes Endorses Greg Martin

  • Tuesday, October 18, 2016

Former District 3 County Commissioner Marty Haynes, who moved on to assessor of property, has endorsed Greg Martin as his successor.

Assessor Haynes said, "Over the last four years, I was honored to serve my home community on the County Commission representing District 3.

"On Nov. 8, we will head to the polls and vote for a new county commissioner. I believe I have a unique perspective on this race. I am friends with both of the candidates and consider them both to be fine gentlemen.

"Many have asked who I’m supporting in this race.  While I’m only one vote of many in this election, my vote will be for the most qualified candidate – Greg Martin.  He brings a balance of real world experience, a private business background and service on our school board to the table.  He has worked with many in our community to make it a better place to live, work and play.  Greg has made tough business decisions regarding budgets and personnel decisions.  Most important, Greg has made consistent conservative votes on the school board and he has proven he can work with those from both parties while maintaining his conservative principles.

"I humbly ask my many friends and supporters to join me and my family in voting for Greg Martin as our next county commissioner."
