Bobby Reid, 80, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
He worked at Brown Stove for 24 years as a Die Setter. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Cherokee County, North Carolina, but in recent years, Bobby was faithfully attending Valley Head United Methodist Church in Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edna Mae Reid; brother, Fred Reid Jr.; and a sister, Helen Tate.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Juanita Frady Reid; daughters, Christina Griffith (Jerry) and Barbara Baxter (Randy); sisters, Mary Lou Hyatt, Jeanetta Palmer and Lola Bell Jones; brothers, Norbert Reid, Louis Reid, Lo Perry Reid, Loye Reid and Farris Reid; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, with a Michael Neubert officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends two hours prior, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. service time.
