Concerned Citizens For Justice Has Monthly Meeting Saturday

Concerned Citizens for Justice will host its monthly meeting on Saturday from 3-5 p.m.

The meeting will be held at Eastdale Village Community United Methodist Church, 1403 Tunnel Blvd.

Participants will hear more about the Southern Freedom Movement and learn about the education, agitation and organizing in Chattanooga.

The Southern Movement Assembly organizing team and governance council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. to learn about what happened at Southern Movement Assembly VI and to hear about the plans for the Southern Movement Blueprint.  Register at http://bit.ly/SMA6TalkBack

Participants will hear a report back and discuss next steps from #SMA6 and the Southern Movement Blueprint; updates and action steps regarding ongoing anti-state violence campaigns like the upcoming trial of former Red Bank cop Mark Kaylor and supporting the #SaveLincolnPark coalition against gentrification and displacement; and a discussion of the upcoming Communiversity semester around the Vision for Black Lives.
