In a divorce action filed just hours after a domestic assault charge was dismissed against him, Bobby Stone charged in a divorce action against Lacie Stone that she committed adultery.
In a brief statement outside General Sessions Court, Mr. Stone claimed that Ms. Stone had inappropriate relations with Mayor Andy Berke. She is a top aide to the mayor.
The divorce petition against Lacie Stone was filed at 12:43 p.m. in Circuit Court.
It says. "As grounds for divorce, the defendant committed adultery, thereby constituting grounds for divorce pursuant to the provisions of (state law). Plaintiff requests that a divorce be granted on said grounds, or in the alternative, on the grounds of inappropriate marital conduct pursuant to (state law) or irreconcilable differences pursuant to (state law)."
The marriage of the couple occurred in a ceremony Nov. 13, 2008, in Jost Van Dyke in the Territory of British Virgin Islands. They had no children.
The petition says the parties accumulated certain assets and liabilities during the marriage, but that Mr. Stone "has significant value of separate property which is not subject to any equitable distribution other than to plaintiff."
It says the couple may present a marital dissolution agreement, but, if the parties are unable to do so, the court will be asked to divide the assets.
Mr. Stone is represented in the divorce by attorney Jillyn O'Shaughnessy.
Ms. Stone is represented by attorney John Cavett.
