Mary Herman

Mary Ruth Herman, 93, died peacefully on Oct. 20.

She was an award winning interior decorator with Sears & Roebuck, and a long-term employee of Associated Fabrics in Chattanooga. She served her local Catholic community.

Surviving relatives are her sons, Ralph Herman, Joe Herman (Judy Herman), grandchildren, Bryce, Kristen, and five great-grandchildren. She left behind beloved neighbors, friends, and caretakers at Rosewood Assisted Living in Fort Oglethorpe.

She was preceded in death by son, Dr. Claude Herman and husband, Paul Herman.

With her creative gifts, we image her measuring the windows of heaven, crafting the right curtains, and opening them up for the rest of us to see.

Friends and family are welcome to the graveside service at National Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ladies of Charity.

An online guest book is at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com

Arrangements are by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
