Five Divison I and two Division II girls soccer teams will be in action on Saturday in state soccer tournament qualifiers across the state.
In Division II, GPS and Baylor play in state quarterfinal games in Memphis. GPS (#3 East/Middle) travels to Hutchison (#2 West) and Baylor (#5 East/Middle) travels to Briarcrest (#1 West). Winners of those matches will travel to Murfreesboro on Friday for semifinal games. The Division IIAA state championship game is on Saturday, October 29 at 4 p.m.
In Division I, Class A/AA four area teams will battle for quarterfinal spots on Saturday.
Notre Dame will play at Boyd-Buchanan and CSAS will play at CCS. Winners will advance to Class A/AA state quarterfinals which are set to begin on Wednesday in Murfreesboro. The Class A/AA state semifinals are Thursday and the state championship game is Saturday at 1 p.m.
McMinn County is the only Class AAA team still alive and will host Siegel.
