Edna Emeline Bigham Geren, 98, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday morning, October 25, 2016 at her residence.
She was a charter member of Tasso Baptist Church. Edna retired from American Uniform. She loved sewing, working outside, helping others and spending time with her dog, Keeva.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Joe Cephas Geren; parents, Frank and Mandy Bigham; son, Ricky Geren; sons-in-law, Bobby Goodman and Dennis Burns; and brothers and sisters, Nola Cavett, Ona Stinnett, Lyna Dunn, Susie Dunn, Jim Bigham, Bill Bigham, Richard Bigham, Thelma Bigham and James Bigham.
She is survived by her son, Joe C. (Judy) Geren of Cleveland; daughters, Ethelle Goodman of Cleveland and Rita Burns of Athens; grandchildren, Rhonda (David) McAlister, Schonna (Eddie) Linn, Brandon Burns, Brandy Burns, Shane (Jennifer) Geren, Aimee Geren, Skidder Geren and Buck Geren; great grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) McAlister, Dustin (Tiffany) Sims, Kent Linn, Ashley Linn, and Lexy Preston; eight great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Isbill officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Shane Geren, Kent Linn, Brandon Burns, Eddie Linn, David McAlister and Rodney Price serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
