The Law Office of Autumn Witt Boyd announced on Wednesday, it has joined Nextlaw Global Referral Network, enabling it to connect its clients to high quality lawyers around the world. Nextlaw Global Referral Network is the largest legal referral network in the world, with 283 member firms, 18,600 lawyers covering 160 countries.

Ms. Boyd said, “By joining Nextlaw Global Referral Network, I can now access top tier lawyers outside of Tennessee where my clients may need legal assistance, or with lawyers who have other areas of expertise.  As a solo attorney, I now have a huge resource to offer my clients who need services or guidance outside of my own specialties of intellectual property and business law.”

Jeff Modisett, Nextlaw Global Referral Network CEO said, “We’re proud to have The Law Office of Autumn Witt Boyd as part of our network. We’re only as good as the quality of our member firms and Ms. Boyd makes us stronger and better able to meet the needs of our other members’ clients in business and intellectual property matters.”

Nextlaw Global Referral Network was created by Dentons, the largest law firm in the world. The network, which is free to join, employs a detailed screening system to guarantee the quality of its member firms and has developed proprietary technology to allow members to identify lawyers at other member firms with the appropriate experience where clients need legal counsel.

Ms. Boyd has been helping creative entrepreneurs in Chattanooga and across the United States protect their rights with copyright, trademark, and business guidance for more than 12 years.  Prior to opening her own practice, she served as an associate with the law firm Harmon & Seidman LLC, where she represented photographers, visual artists, and stock photography agencies in copyright lawsuits, including a successful jury trial.  She also worked for two years at local firm Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C., helping businesses and individuals who had been sued over business deals or products, or who needed to file lawsuits to protect their own patents or copyrights.  Ms. Boyd began her legal career as a law clerk to United States District Court Judge Curtis L. Collier with the Eastern District of Tennessee, the federal trial court in Chattanooga.

Ms. Boyd obtained her law degree at Vanderbilt University Law School, where she graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif, and her bachelor of arts in Journalism and English with high honors at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Ms. Boyd serves on the executive committee of the Intellectual Property section of the Tennessee Bar Association and is active in the Brock Cooper American Inn of Court, the Copyright Society of the USA, Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts, and Southeast Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women.  She also is active in the local nonprofit community, currently serving as the President of Chattanooga Friends, a service organization for young professionals.
