Bonnie Evans
Bonnie Lou Lane Evans, 84, died on October 27, 2016. She was born in Grand Rapids Michigan, and moved to Chattanooga at age 4.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubin and Viola Lane, sisters Vallie Reed, Linda Bryant, Donna Benson, and brothers Allen, Tommy, Robert and Gerald Lane.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William I. Evans, her children and daughters-in-law, Billy, Tammy, Kari and Kerry, and her grandchildren Lilli, Jonah and Abigail. Her living extended family includes her siblings, Jeanie (Charlie) Ray, David (Faye) Lane, Richmond Lane (Trudy Jones), Percy (Jody) Lane, and nephews, Joshua and Caleb Ray and their families, as well as many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She loved mornings, the fall, gardening, decorating, and quilting with the group from Bayside Baptist Church where she had been a member for 41 years. Most of all, though, she loved God, and could be found starting each morning with prayer and devotion. She is much loved and greatly missed.
Friends are welcome from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 29, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel on Highway 153, and again an hour before the funeral service, which is at 1 p.m. on Oct. 30, at the same location. The Reverend Eric Stitts will be officiating the service.
