The American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee (ACEC Tennessee) is accepting applications for Tennessee Leadership PE.  The six-month, competency-based program was developed for engineers who are new to or preparing for management and leadership roles.

The application deadline is Nov. 30 and the cost is $950.  For detailed information and an application, visit http://acectn.com/about-acec/leadership-pe-2016/

This competency-based leadership program focuses on emerging leaders and those engineers who are currently mid-level and senior-level leaders.
Participants will gain leadership skills while networking with members from other firms and industries and with federal and state government agencies, officials said.

“This is a great opportunity for engineering firms to encourage and support their rising stars,” said Greg Brubaker, PE, with K.S. Ware and Associates, LLC, and chair of the Leadership PE Committee.  “The program participants will gain leadership skills while networking with members from other A/E firms, industries, and federal and state government agencies.”

The Tennessee Leadership PE program will include an orientation in January and five monthly sessions to be held in locations across the state.  Each session will be 1.5 days, with the exception of the orientation session which will be two full days. The sessions will be facilitated by representatives of Partnering Agencies which include the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Valley Authority, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis and Nashville districts.  Sessions will include educational topics, team building activities, networking opportunities, and a tour of a Partner Agency facility.
