Robert Leslie Ellison, 18, was shot on Houston Street late Friday night.
At 11:45 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at the 1200 block of Houston Street.
Police were called to a disorder and heard gunfire in the area.
Officers located and assisted Ellison who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
Ellison's injuries are considered non-life threatening at this time.
Suspect information is not available at this time.
Members of the Crime Scene Unit were on the scene processing for evidence.
Investigators with the Chattanooga Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau continue to follow all actionable leads.
