Hamilton County's Horror - And Response (2)

Hamilton County, get off your rear ends and do something!

The tour Roy took us all on is unthinkable, unimaginable....a lawsuit waiting to happen.

It isn't even in my wheel house to imagine those charged with keeping the chaos down to a manageable level haven't committed mutiny, kudos to those that are trying to make things work.  To those that hold the magic key, what's your problem?  Why haven't you addressed these issues?  Better yet, why the heck haven't you had your own tour?  Out of sight out of mind?  Haven't you learned by now that ignorance is not bliss?  You should be ashamed of yourselves for ignoring a festering problem.

I don't really care who they are or what they may have done, no one deserves to be treated in such a manner from the "criminal" and those that are charged with their care.  You are not only treating the citizens of your county in a worthless manner, but also disrespecting your employees by turning a blind eye to working conditions that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

If you think the cost is out of reach right now, just wait until a judge gets involved, penny wise and pound foolish.  To any judge reading this with courage, get with the program, your honor.

There, by for the Grace of God,

Silverdale has a temporary holding area for 48 hour inmates and another for long term offenders.

Please don't look to Silverdale as a sanctuary. Inmates held for 48 hours also sleep on concrete floors covered with human waste; guards that will not allow the inmates to go to the one bathroom; and numerous lawsuits and complaints of inmates being held longer than their legal papers require.

They hold inmates up to 30 plus hours longer than they are required to serve to get more money from the county with lame excuses and untruths about incorrect or missing paperwork.

Look them up on the internet if you want the facts.

As Webb Pierce once sang,

They're in the jailhouse now,

The taxpayers told em more than once,

To quit shootin up the innocents,

When dealing and competing in the drug trades,

We didn't promise em a rose garden,

So let em have at it and kill theirselves,

And that'll teach all the others in thar,

Not to break our laws anymore,

To all you bleeding hearts who feel sorry for them, like Roy Exum,

Hows about you pony up the money to build a new jail?
