Master Gardeners Of Hamilton County Offers Free Gardening Class Saturday

  • Thursday, November 17, 2016

The Masters Gardeners of Hamilton County will present their yearly class in making holiday wreaths using live greenery on Saturday at 1 p.m.

"Participants should bring their own wreath base (12-16 inches in diameter) made of grapevine, wire or other material. Master Gardeners provide greenery from their own gardens as well as assisting with instructions and creating the beautiful result.  The class is limited to 30 participants so that everyone can work comfortably on their projects," officials said.

Carol Mathews, chair of the MGHC Education committee, said, “So many different plants and natural decorations can be used to make live wreaths.  Their fresh feel and fragrance will add a special touch to your holiday decorating.”

Registration is required; sign up online at http://mghc.org/education-committee-classes/ or send an email to education@mghc.org.
