Solar Is Long On Hype And Short On Results

  • Friday, November 18, 2016
I read the article on TVA & NextEra Solar Energy with considerable interest.  But as a TVA power consumer, key facts were left out that I consider critical.  Or at least, if there I missed them.

What is the net cost to TVA per kilowatt over the life of the agreement?  What will be the billed cost to the end consumer?

I'm in favor of solar energy, but I believe that, in general, solar is long on hype and short on results.  And that cost figures that are bantered about often prove unrealistic.

I hope I can get some kind of reasonable answer.  Please, prove me wrong.
