Edward Lebron Lawson has been arrested after a woman was robbed at gunpoint on S. Hickory Street.

Lawson, 52, of 2623 Glenwood Ave., was charged with aggravated robbery.

In the incident on Tuesday, a woman said she was walking on Hickory Street when she was approached by a black male wearing a camouflage jacket. He asked her the time, and she replied that she did not know and continued on her way.

A short time later, the woman heard footsteps coming up behind her. The same man pushed her to the ground and pulled out a small handgun. He took her IPhone and lunchbox while pointing the gun at her.

The woman told police she had been advised that Lawson was the man who robbed her. She picked him out of a photo lineup.
