A a Criminal Court jury on Friday convicted Kyhree Donte Thompson of first-degree murder in the slaying of Reginald Ballard at the Cascades Motel in East Ridge.
The conviction carries a life prison sentence for the 21-year-old defendant.
Jurors deliberated four hours over two days in the trial that began Tuesday before Criminal Court Judge Don Poole.
Tabitha Nicole Garrison and Verronta Page are also charged in the case.
The victim's body was found inside room 48 early on the morning of Feb. 20, 2015.
It was testified that Mr. Bullard had money and had sent Ms. Garrison a photo of himself sitting with a lapful of dollar bills via Facebook, and the two had made arrangements to meet.
Garrison made plans with her two co-defendants to rob Ballard at the motel, the prosecution said.
