James Duggan
James L. "Jim" Duggan, Jr., 78, of Chattanooga passed away on November 18, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jim retired from Combustion Engineering (ABB) with 39 years of service as a boilermaker. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and bow-hunter but his greatest passion in his life was his family and Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Michelle Duggan, his mother, Elizabeth Lanham Hay, step-father, Abner Jim Hay, his father, James L. Duggan, Sr., mother and father-in-law, Max H. and Frances R. Wallace, and brother in-law, Phillip Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wallace Duggan, daughters, Jamie (Dave) Brock, Stacie (Randy) Ray, sisters, Judy (Lawrence) Hayes, Janet (Dennis) Barber, grandchildren, Hailee Ray, Davis Brock and Sarah Kate Brock., and great-grandson Caleb Paul Wicks. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Pam Wallace, Barbara Rosenblatt, Pat (Terry) Quarles and brother-in-law, Larry (Teresa) Wallace, as well as many nieces,nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Reverend Alan Rogers will officiate at the service.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciate to the team from Tennesse Home Health who worked tirelessly and diligently with Jim. Their dedication and support was superior. Thanks also to Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful team who worked with Jim and the entire family. The level of expert care provided is beyond measure.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jim's memory be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chatt TN 37416.
