McCallie's Junior Clay finished with 16 points in the Blue Tornado's 79-47 win over CCS Saturday night in a TSSAA Hall of Fame match up at GPS.
CCS led 17-15 at the end of the first quarter but the McCallie pressure slowed CCS down in the second quarter outscoring them 30-10. Seth Clark had 14 points.
CCS was led by Ryan Rhodes with 15 points.
CCS GIRLS 43 GPS 42 CCS freshman Madison Blevins hit give three pointers to led the Lady Chargers to a season opening win over GPS. Blevins finished with 17 points. CCS had 10 three pointers and GPS had four. Chloe Pruitt had 11 points including three three pointers.
GPS was led by Brooke McCurdy with 18 points.
CCS hosts their Thanksgiving tournament this week and will play Lookout Valley, LFO and Silverdale.
McCallie will travel to the Stone Memorial Tournament this week.
