The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who broke into an area business and stole electronics and cash. Three suspects were recorded breaking into the store, with one individual’s face visible in a close-up shot. Two laptop computers and two camcorders were among the stolen items.
The burglary happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Nov. 12, at Magia Digital at 619 East Morris Street. Just after 1 a.m., a camera mounted by the front counter shows a young Hispanic male wearing a knit hat with a John Deere logo on it and a hooded jacket walk up to the camera and rip it out of the wall. A short time later, the male and two other males were recorded removing other cameras in the store and also stealing a Macbook Pro laptop and an iMac desktop computer and also Sony camcorders. The suspects were all of slender builds and wore jackets or hooded sweatshirts zipped up over their heads. The suspects likely entered the business through an unlocked window and left through a back door.
