Several area players were named to the girls state soccer all-state teams this week.
In Division IAA, GPS's Emily Large and Lane Lawrence and Baylor's Lainee Bohannon were named to the forwards all-state list.
GPS's Sara Corum was named all-state defender.
In Class A/AA, Olivia Hoffman from CCS and Avery Engels of Signal Mountain were named all-state forwards.
CCS's Kate Dirkse and Notre Dame's Kelsey Barta were named to the all-state defense team.
Class AAA was represented by Soddy-Daisy's Anna Lanter for defenders and McMinn County's Morgan Hutchison for forwards.
