The Chatt Comix Co-Op will release a Chattanooga-themed comic anthology at this year’s MAINx24 festival. This is the group’s first creative work together and includes 12 stories all written and illustrated by 15 locals. From fiction to humor and even a little history, this is a unique anthology to represent Chattanooga, said officials.
Each copy is $10 (tax included), and all proceeds go toward the continued creative endeavors of the Chatt Comix Co-Op, a local not-for-profit organization.
The copies will be available Saturday from 2-6 p.m. at Star Line Books. Afterward, the anthology will be for sell exclusively at Infinity Flux Cards, Comics, and Games
The Chatt Comix Co-Op is a group of writers and artists who share a passion for creating and promoting comics. The group functions as a creative support group and vehicle for producing work with other talented locals. Within the first six months of its inception, the Co-Op has completed two anthologies and is currently working on three more. The group is comprised of professional and novice writers and artists, is free to join, and is always accepting new members who are interested in creating comics. The Co-Op meets on the first and third Thursdays of every month at Infinity Flux: Cards, Comics, and Games, 3643 Hixson Pike, Chattanooga.
