Many Area Schools On Delay And Closed Due To Heavy Storms

Hamilton County schools are on a two-hour delay Wednesday morning due to debris on the roads and inclement weather.  

Other schools on a two-hour delay include Belvoir Christian Academy, Bowman Hills Adventist School, Dayton County, Dawn School, Silverdale Baptist, Lester Coon Adventist School, Orange Grove Center and St. Peter's Episcopal School.

Hamilton County school age child care will open at its regular time. 

Catoosa County schools and Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy are delayed one hour. 

Chattanooga College, both campuses, are closed Wednesday.

Cleveland State Community College is closed Wednesday and Miller-Motte will open at 10 a.m. 

Schools in Athens, Bradley County, Cleveland, Etoway, Grundy County, Marion County, and McMinn County, Meigs County, Polk County, Rhea County, and Sequatchie County are all closed Wednesday. Other schools closed include Christ Legacy Academy, Dawn School, Fairview Christian Academy, Rhea County Academy, and Richard Hardy Memorial School.
