Lee University To Present Parade Of Favorites Nov. 12

Lee University will present its annual student talent showcase, Parade of Favorites, on Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Conn Center at 7 p.m. 

This year’s theme is “Cirque Du SoLEE.” Directed by Sydney Wojewoda, public relations major at Lee, the event will sponsor Operation Christmas Child, a worldwide organization that annually collects and delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need. 

“Parade of Favorites is a longstanding tradition of Lee that brings the campus together to showcase the talent of many of our amazing students,” said Jill Welborn, sponsor for the event and director of student development. “This year is no different. All contestants have worked extremely hard to put on an exceptional performance, and we hope to have many in attendance to celebrate their efforts!” 

A variety of Lee’s student organizations are represented by the 15 contestants. These organizations include Crossover Ministries, Greek service clubs, Lee Singers, the Lee University African Students Association, and more.

Courtney Blackwell, junior church music major, is representing Lee Singers. She is from Cordele, Ga., and will be escorted by Taylor Woodruff. 

Senior history major Kaity Carter will represent Sigma Nu Sigma. She is from Cleveland and Justin Harmon will escort her. 

Stephanie Ebisi will represent Lee University African Student Association. She is a junior health science major with a psychology emphasis in counseling. She is from Nigeria and will be escorted by Rume Ekong. 

Junior theology and psychology major, Kelsey French, will represent Crossover Ministries. She is from Cleveland and Landon Moss will escort her. 

Cassie Harris, from Golconda, Ill., is representing Zeta Chi Lambda. She is a senior early childhood education major with a minor in digital media. She will be escorted by Brandon Estes. 

Brooklyn Holbrook will represent Tau Kappa Omega. She is a senior intercultural studies major from Canton, Mi. Seth Naish will escort her. 

From Cincinnati, Ohio, Indyasia Johnson is representing the Student Leadership Council. She is a senior biochemistry and chemistry major. Nik Piantieri will be her escort. 

Junior education major, Heather Lyon, will represent Epsilon Lambda Phi. She is from Princeton, N.J., and will be escorted by Michael Piper. 

Cierra Motes is representing Omega Alpha Phi. She is a junior communications major from Lithia Springs, Ga. Johnathon Foreman will escort her. 

Rebekah Mura will represent the Admissions Office. She is a senior communications major with an advertising emphasis from Augusta, Ga. Tanner Smith will be her escort. 

Senior anthropology major and Spanish minor, Anna Beth Potter, is representing Delta Zeta Tau. She is from Woodstock, Ga., and will be escorted by Clay Butler. 

Senior international business major, Rachel Proctor, will represent Upsilon Xi. She is from Aiken, S.C., and Jacob Broome will be her escort. 

Ashley Resto will represent Pi Kappa Pi. She is a senior public relations major from Cleveland. David Sanders will escort her. 

Junior psychology major, Sierra Smith, will represent Cleveland Against Sex Trafficking. She is from Newburgh, In. Her escort will be Timothy Washington. 

Brooke Young is representing Alpha Gamma Chi. She is a senior human development major from Flowery Branch, Ga. Asher Greiner will escort her. 

The event is free and open to the community. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
