Raymond Atkins Speaks At Chattanooga Writers' Guild Tuesday

Author Raymond L. Atkins will lead a discussion on the personal essay at the Chattanooga Writers' Guild on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.  

Mr. Atkins resides in Rome, Ga. He teaches English at Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Creative Writing at Reinhardt University. His first novel, The Front Porch Prophet, was published in 2008 and was awarded the Georgia Author of the Year Award for First Novel.  South of the Etowah, his first creative non-fiction book, was released earlier this year. It has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. 

The Chattanooga Writers' Guild meets at the Downtown Library.  The meetings are free and open to the public.
