Several Chattanooga Area Players Leading Tennessee Wesleyan To AAC Soccer Semi-Finals

Tennessee Wesleyan, featuring several Chattanooga area team members, has advanced to the semi-finals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference soccer tournament and will host.

Tennessee Wesleyan beat St. Andrews (N.C.) at home to advance. 

The TWU Lady Bulldogs won after 2 overtimes on PKs 6-5. TWU is 12-5-1 overall and finished the regular season 4th in the AAC. 

With the 1-3 seeds being upset, TWU will host Truett McConnell on Thursday, with Bryan playing Union afterwards in Athens.

TWU has several Chattanooga players making significant contributions to the team: Hannah Dearing (All-State- Notre Dame HS), Samantha Green (Hixson HS); Karla Martinez (Hixson HS); Emily Saddler (East Hamilton HS); and Sydney Smith (Silverdale HS). Other local players starting for TWU are the Young sisters (Madison and Jessica)  and Abby Younce from Athens, Tn.
