Planning Staff Recommends Denial Of Rezoning For Alcohol Sales At Ridgeside Road And Gillespie

The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending denial for a rezoning request that would include alcohol sales in an existing building at Ridgeside and Gillespie roads.

Sean S. Daniels is making the request at 3630 Ridgeside Road.

The one-story building has parking between the building and Ridgeside Road and an entrance from Ridgeside Road.

The RPA staff said a number of homes are nearby.

The building was rezoned to C-5 Neighborhood Commercial Zone in 2009 with a stipulation that it not be a restaurant.

The request is to go to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.

The case goes before the Planning Commission next Monday at 1 p.m.
