Acelee Willard “Willie” Smith, 58, of Rossville, Georgia, died on December 1, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mr. Smith was born in Chattanooga, on Aug. 24, 1958, to the late William Ben and Betty Smith. He was employed with Southern Fabrication in Chattanooga as a supervisor. He loved fishing, working hard, taking care of his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ben and Betty Smith, brother, Tommy Head, and sister, Lorene Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Jo Smith, sons, Ben (Shanne) Smith, Michael (Amber) Smith, Joseph (Summer) Smith, Chris Smith and Willie Smith, and daughter, Christy Smith, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, brother, Johnny Head, sisters, Polly Davis and Jean Abbott.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Mike Gregg officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
