Man Shot While Walking In Hancock Road Drive-By

A man told police he was shot by someone in a passing car as he walked with a friend along Hancock Road on Wednesday night.

Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department were called to a local hospital at 6:43 p.m. after a person showed up with injuries.

The victim is suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

He arrived at the hospital via personal vehicle.

He said they were walking southbound at the time of the incident.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The suspect vehicle is described as a large SUV.

Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating all leads in this case.
